Abstract :

Main participants in production of metal oxides by solution combustion process are metal nitrate (oxidizer) and fuel. Variation in fuel used and variation in amount of fuel used have significant effect on properties of metal oxide produced. In this paper comparative study of effect of urea, Glycine and mixed fuel on properties of metal oxide (Alumina) formed by solution combustion process have been undertaken. Metal oxide has been produced by using fuel Glycine, urea and mixed fuel one by one, separately. With each fuel two variations (fuel lean & fuel rich) in fuel to oxidizer ratio from Stoichiometric value were used.
